'The assistant district attorneys that are prosecuting the case against the 25 civilians and military personnel for the execution of the 7 Colombians in the section of Ojo de Agua, Paya, in Peravia province, are receiving death threats from the accused. The complaint was made yesterday during a press conference held by the Attorney General of the Republic, Radhames Jimenez Peņa, accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces, Pedro Rafael Peņa Antonio, the chief of the National Police, Rafael Guillermo Guzman Fermin, and the Presidential advisor on drug trafficking, Marino Vinicio Castillo. Likewise, the Attorney General was accompanied by the assistant district attorneys that were threatened. Jimenez Peņa said that during the last hearing in the Paya case, that is being held in the Courthouse in San Cristobal, the representatives of the Justice Department were the object of threats by the majority of the accused in the much talked about case. "We are going to kill you all", cited the official, as he narrated the clear intention of the accused, "with lots of arrogance and haughtiness".' More here:
