Puerto Plata Digital is reporting that there have been numerous landslides along the Navarrete to Puerto Plata highway, particularly in the Altamira area (near the tunnel). Volume of water in the Rio Perez near Quebrada Honda, Altamira has noticeably increased and some nearby homes have fallen. In Puerto Plata town the road into the port is displaying marked deterioration due to the mix of continuous rain and heavy goods vehicles.
