Puerto Plata's Mayor, Walter Musa, has announced that the Ayuntamiento will shoulder the responsibility for repairs to Costambar access road. However, this will not happen overnight because first a drainage study needs to be undertaken to prevent the problems which have occurred in the past. Previous attempts to repair this road have always been doomed by the next rainfall.
