search Shoes For Orphans
'A children’s clothing consignment shop in Bath is teaming with a local missionary group to provide shoes for needy children in a Dominican Republic town. Buy Low Baby, located in the Bathport building on Commercial Street, is offering discounts in exchange for donations of “gently used” children’s shoes from now until May 2. For one pair of shoes, the store is offering 10 percent off an entire purchase made during Bath’s citywide MayFair yard sale event, May 1 and 2. A second pair of shoes earns a 20 percent off coupon, and three or more pairs garners a 30 percent discount. The shoes donated will be taken to the Dominican town of Nieba by members of the Pathway Vineyard Church’s teen missionary group, who are planning a trip there in July. “Somebody from the group had approached me to ask if we had any shoes left over, and I thought we could make this a community event,” said store owner Morgan Jamison. Jamison began promoting the “Shoes for Nieba” project through fliers and the Buy Low Baby Facebook website, and started accepting donations Thursday.' More here: 0 Comments
